Thank you for buying our WordPress Theme. The complete procedure to configure and manage a WordPress Website from the beginning is shown in this documentation in different portions.

What is WordPress CMS?

WordPress is an open source tool which is based on PHP and MySQL to create websites. It is a completely free content management system(CMS) and a strong blogging platform. With this CMS, you can develop websites and solid online apps. You hardly require any knowledge or technical capability to manage it. What is a Wordpress Template?

A WordPress template acts as a skin for the websites which are created on WordPress CMS. The installation of a WordPress Template is very easy. With the help of an installed new template, you can change the look of your WordPress website very easily. All the requisite source files are provided with a WordPress template and you can freely go for editing and increasing it the way you want.

File Structure

The template package you have downloaded consists of several folders. Let's see what each folder contains:

    Screenshots -contains template screenshot. Not for production.
  • theme -contains wordpress theme files
  • "vw-tour_1.0.3.zip and vw-tour-child_1.0.zip " -this folder contains all the necessary files for the theme.
  • "license.txt" -contains license details
  • "readme.txt" -contain information about theme images path, font use and usage script

Template Installation

Template installation is very easy process.

All installation steps can be done within WordPress interface. It makes process comfortable and fast.

The installation process can be done in two ways

1-Install a theme using wordpress admin

First thing you need to do is to login to your WordPress admin area. Next, click on

1.Go to the menu Appearance > Themes

2. Once you are on the themes page, click on the Add New button at the top.

3. Click on upload theme button.

4. Click on Browse Button then select your vw-tour_1.0.3.zip theme and click on install now button.


5. WordPress will now install your theme and show you a success message along with the link to activate or live preview.

Congratulations!! Your theme have been successfully installed

2-Install a Theme using FTP

Your second installation option is to upload the theme via FTP. For this method first log into your site via FTP and browse to your folder located at wp-content/themes. Unzip the theme file you downloaded and upload only the extracted Total folder to your server.

Next log into your WordPress site and navigate to Appearance >> Themes to activate the Theme.


Plugin Installation.

To install a WordPress Plugin manually by .zip archive and follow the below steps for Upload plugin .

Install Required Plugins:

vw-tour-pro-posttype plugin ,contact-form-7 plugin

Go to Dashboard >> plugin >> Add New >> Upload plugin.

click on the install now button and activate.


Color/Font Pallette

Color/Font is very easy process. We have given these options in all sections of customizer. It is a complete image to show you about color and font pallete. At a single glance of click you can set the color and fonts of the Headings, Paragraph and Buttons

Every individual section have an option to set the color pallete for Headings, Title/Text, Paragraph, Button Text and Button Background depending upon the number of option that are available in that respective section

Theme Wizard


* This is new feature added in the version (1.0.7)

Follow the following steps to import content using Theme Wizard

1) Go to Dashboard >> Getstarted

2) Insert your key.

3) CLick on Wizard and then start now.

4) Install Plugins.

5) Import your demo content based on Customizer and Gutenberg.

Mega Menu

When you activate the theme, if by default, the mega menus appear on top of your theme then to disable this mega menu, follow these instructions.

Go to Appearance >> Menus >> Primary Menu.

In your Primary Menu, option for Mega Menu is given at the bottom. You have to first check the mega menu option and click on save menu. After check, you have to uncheck the option of mega menu, then click on save menu. Refresh the front page and see the changes.


Theme Setup

Setup Home Page Template

Follow these instructions to setup Home page.

  • 1. Create Page to set template: Go to Dashboard >> Pages >> Add New Page.

    Label it "home" or anything as you wish. Then select template "home-page" from template dropdown.

  • 2. Set the front page:Go to Setting -> Reading --> Set the front page display static page to home page
  • Once you are done with this, you can see all the demo content on front page.

Section Ordering

How to Arrange and Reordering Section

Section reordering basically means to arranage the section as per our requirement. in order to proceed with this section you need to drag section on top or bottom where you need it. when you will drap any section top or bottom your front view will change according customizer values.

For Section Re-ordering,you just need to simply drag-and-drop options into any order as per your wish .

In order to proceed with Section Ordering.

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Theme Settings >>Section Ordering



Setup Slider

Follow these instructions to set up slider,

  • For Slider: Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings >> Slider Settings >> Upload image,Add Title, Description & Link to Learn More.
  • For Site Name/Logo: For changing site name go to Appearance >> Customize >> Site Identity >> Here you can set Logo,Site Title,Tagline & Site Icon for your site. Please see the theme option tab in this documentation for more details.
  • For Navigation: See the Setup Navigation tab of this documentation.

Setup Why Choose Us Section

In order to proceed with Why Choose Us Section,

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings>> Why Choose Section.

In this section you can set the Image,Title & Content of Services offered according to your site. Options here are further described according to the sections they belong to :

  • Setting Options : Includes settings for Health Values Section display enable / disable option.
  • Background Color Option: Contains background color options for specific section layout.
  • Background Image Option: Contains background image options for specific section layout.

Setup Top Destination Section

In order to proceed with Top Destination,

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings>> Top Destination.

In this section you can set the Image,Title & Content of Services offered according to your site. Options here are further described according to the sections they belong to :

  • Setting Options : Includes settings for Top Destination section display enable / disable option.
  • Background Color Option: Contains background color options for specifix section layout.
  • Background Image Option: Contains background image options for specifix section layout.

Setup Top Holiday Packages Section

In order to proceed with Top Holiday Packages Section, You have to add "Woocommerce Plugin" and activate this plugin. After activating the plugin, you can easily add your products for top holiday packages section with its Name, Image, description, and Price.

Go to Dashboard >> Products >> Add New.

In this section you can set Section Title and you can show woocommerce page by inserting woocommerce short code. You can use any short code to fetch the product page. For instance we are using following short code (" [products per_page="12" columns="4" orderby="date" order="ASC"] ") in customizer.

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings>> Product Section.

In this section, you can set following points through the customizer :

  • Setting Options : Includes settings for What Client Say section display enable / disable option.
  • Background Color Option: Contains background color options for specifix section layout.
  • Background Image Option: Contains background image options for specifix section layout.
  • Heading Color & Font family Option: Contains heading color and it's font family options.

Setup How Tour Works Section

In order to proceed with How Tour Works Section,

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings >> How Tour Works Section

  • Setting Options : Includes settings for About Us section display enable / disable option.
  • Background Color Option: Contains background color options for specifix section layout.
  • Background Image Option: Contains background image options for specifix section layout.

Setup What Customer Say Section

In order to proceed with What Customer Say Section,

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings>> What Customer Say.

In this section you can set the section Title, Plan Name, plan price & Content to be offered according to the theme. Options here are further described according to the sections they belong to :

  • Setting Options : Includes settings for What Customer Say section display enable / disable option.
  • Background Color Option: Contains background color options for specific section layout.
  • Background Image Option: Contains background image options for specific section layout.

Setup Wonderful Europe Section

In order to proceed with Wonderful Europe,

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings>> Wonderful Europe.

You can set the Title & add a link to BookNow button.

For Detail Description to setup This Section refer "VW-Destination" under Theme Plugin tab of this documentation

Setup Recent Blog Post Section

In order to proceed with Recent Blog Post Section,

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings>> Recent Blog Post Section.

In this section you can set the section Title,Options here are further described according to the sections they belong to :

  • Setting Options : Includes settings for Recents Blog Posts section display enable / disable option.
  • Background Color Option: Contains background color options for specifix section layout.
  • Background Image Option: Contains background image options for specifix section layout.
  • Add Post: Here you can give the detail about post
  • Add Title: Here you can give the title of post.
  • Background Image Option: Contains background image options for specifix section layout.

  • Setup Tour Type Section

    In order to proceed with Tour Type Section,

    Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings>> Tour Type.

    In this section you can set the section Title,Content to be offered according to the theme. Options here are further described according to the sections they belong to :

    • Setting Options : Includes settings for Tour Type section display enable / disable option.
    • Background Color Option: Contains background color options for specifix section layout.
    • Background Image Option: Contains background image options for specifix section layout.
    • Number of Plans to show Allow you to select no. of Plans you would like to offer and display .

    Setup Deals Discounts

    In order to proceed with Deals Discopunts Section,

    Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings>> Deals Discounts.

    • Setting Options : Includes settings for Deals Discounts section display enable / disable option.
    • Background Color Option: Contains background color options for specifix section layout.
    • Background Image Option: Contains background image options for specifix section layout.

    Setup Footer

    In order to proceed with Footer section,

    Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings>> Footer.

    In this section, you add all the Title & url. Options here are further described according to the sections they belong to :

    • Background Color Option: Contains background color options for specifix section layout.
    • Add Url for different social-media Includes settings to add url of different social-media .
    • Title Allow you to set the title which to display .

    Child Themes and Hooks

    Custom theme editor is the easy process for editing the site,if you have to add section in the site, you can easily edit in child theme it can be change in parent theme.

    Theme Plugin

    How to setup VW Tours Post Type Plugin
    Plugins are ways to extend and add to the functionality that already exists in WordPress.
    1. First, you need to download the plugin from the source (which will be a zip file (Tour Post Pro Types). Next, you need to go to WordPress admin area and visit Plugins » Add New page.
    2. After that, click on the Upload Plugin button on top of the page.
    3. This will bring you to the plugin upload page. Here, you need to click on the choose file button and select the plugin file you downloaded earlier to your computer.
    4. After you have selected the file, you need to click on the install now button.
    5. WordPress will now upload the plugin file from your computer and install it for you. You will see a success message like this after installation is finished.
    6. Once installed, you need to click on the Activate Plugin link to start using the plugin.

    Plugin Configuration

    Once you activate the plugin it will create two register posttype namely:VW-Destination and VW-Testimonials on the Dashboard

    In order to showcase your Top Destination post inside "TOP DESTINATION","Best Package Offer" and "DEALS AND DISCOUNTS" section on homepage you need to setup configure this plugin.

    Go to VW-Destination >> Add New Post

    Here you can see various option that you can include to your packages.

    • Itinerary: Allows you set itinerary for your tour
    • Duration: Set period of tour travel
    • Main Attraction: Allows you set Main attraction of your tours
    • Currency: Set the currency symbol you want to show.
    • Tour Package: Set Complete tour package
    • Tour Rating: Allow you to set the star ratings for your tour(Appear in "DEALS AND DISCOUNTS" section)
    • Deal Days: Allow you to set the number of days tour will last(Appear in "DEALS AND DISCOUNTS" section)
    • Make it discount: If field is checked,then that tour will get displayed in "DEALS AND DISCOUNTS" section
    • Make it destination:If field is checked,then that tour will get displayed in "TOP DESTINATION" section
    • Make it Best Package Offer:If field is checked,then that tour will get displayed in "BEST PACKAGE OFFER" section
    • Show Featured Image On Post:If field is checked,then this will display the feature image on its individual post page.
    • Discount: Allow you to set the Discount amount which will appear in "DEALS AND DISCOUNTS" section

    2.VW-Testimonials

    Similarly In order to display your Testimonials on homepage inside "WHAT CUSTOMERS SAY" section you simply need to follow the below steps.

    Go to VW-Testimonials >> Add New Post

    Add Title,Description,social icon links and featured image to your testimonial post and click publish.

    This post will then appear on homepage inside "WHAT CUSTOMERS SAY" section as a carousel.

    Here you can add various meta custom-fields to display extra options to your testimonials

    • meta-desig(value:Web Designer) This allow to set you Testimonial designation which will display on home page.
    • meta-facebookurl(value:#Link)Allow you set url for Facebook which will appear inside Testimonial shortcode when added to page or post
    • meta-linkdenurl(value:#Link)Allow you set url for LinkedIn which will appear inside Testimonial shortcode when added to page or post
    • meta-twitterurl(value:#Link)Allow you set url for Twitter which will appear inside Testimonial shortcode when added to page or post

    1. Log into your WordPress Administration Panel (Dashboard).
    2. Click the Posts tab.
    3. With that done, click Categories for blog posts.
    4. Type in the name of your new category.
    5. After that, click the Add New Category button.

    1. Log into your WordPress Administration Panel (Dashboard).
    2. Click the Posts tab.
    3. Click the Add New tab.

    Shortcodes


    A shortcode is a powerful content building tool http://codex.wordpress.org/Shortcode. Shortcodes are easy to use. First of all, make sure that the editing mode is set to Visual.

    All available shortcodes are conditionally divided into these groups:

    • Testimonials[vw-testimonial] - used for testimonials output.
    • Gallery[vw-galleryshow vw_gallery=5 numberofitem=5] - used for Gallery images output.
    • Destinations[vw-tours-destinations] - used to display Top Tours.

    Additional Theme Addons


     How to Setup Additional Theme Addons

    1. First, you need to download the plugin from the source (which will be a zip file (vw-title-banner-image.zip and vw-gallery-images.zip)). Next, you need to go to WordPress admin area and visit Plugins » Add New page.

    VW-Title-Banner-Image

    Once you activate this plugins, you will find the below option inside each and every page,post,registered posts etc.

    1. First, you need to choose the banner image that you would like to set on your post/page.
    2. On uploading any file, by default, the title will appear over the banner image.
    3. With the help of this plugin, you can hide the title if you do not want to display it on the banner simply by checking "Hide Title above banner" option.
    4. You can even show the title below the banner image by checking "Show Title below banner" option.
    5. When none of the options is selected and no file is chosen, then the title will be displayed in the default manner.

    VW-Gallery-Images

    Once you activate this plugins, you will find the VW-Gallery on the Dashboard.

    Click on Add new gallery button. And add the title. Add the number of images to show in a gallery.

    Once you are done with adding gallery images. Use the following shortcode to make your gallery appear on a particular page you want simply by replacing the gallery post_id in the Gallery shortcode.

    Thats It! Now you can view your page to see the gallery images.
